the holidays

Time for a new post I'd say.  Oops.  What's happened since October..... Christmas!  June was having a hard time not getting into the presents under our tiny little Christmas Tree.

You can guess what happened next.   We went out of town to visit family for Christmas. I can't believe the amount of stuff you have to bring when you have a baby!  Neither can Jake:

June played baby Jesus in the nativity at Jake's parents' house.  She was actually pretty well behaved besides being a little squirmy.

cousin love; how sweet:

June and my Mom:

After Christmas, June and I mostly just hang out all day.  She is a crazy lady.  I love being her Mom.

What else is new?  I organized the laundry/sewing room.  That was fun:

June is learning that eating is a party if you do it crazy enough:

She has also learned the fun of jumping in her crib:

Here is the view from my kitchen window:  (brrrrr!)

June never ceases to amaze me with her new crazy tricks.  Lately she loves to squirm her legs out of the buckle on the high chair and stand in it backwards:

Jake and June ready for church:

She is a good girl.  She is very patient most of the time and doesn't mind when I teach voice lessons.  Sometimes she has to sit with me at the piano and she tries to bang on the keys.  My favorite, though is when she sings along with the students.  Sometimes she even claps for them.  I can't believe she turns 1 next month!  She is trying to walk but is a big chicken and cries when I let go of her hands.  She says a few words: Dada, Mama, Done, Hat, and Bob.  Bob is and always has been her favorite.  Whoever he is.  I tell Jake that's the name of the mailman.  :)

Little June just melts me! I can't wait for the day that we, and our girlies are reunited.
