one year later....

I realized I haven't posted in over a year!  I haven't much felt like it I guess.  What's new?  June turned 2 in March!  She is also potty-training already.  She started asking if she could use the potty, so I thought "why not?".  She is such a funny girl.  She loves to talk, dance, and sing.  She also likes to try to say her prayers by herself.  Here are some of my favorite prayers June has said by herself:

"Heavenly Father, we're best friends.  Amen"
"Heavenly Father, remember to put peepees in the potty.  Amen."

So I have to help her out still with that.  :)  She has watched me teach voice lessons one too many times, and she thinks she can do it herself.  She has me (or anyone willing) stand in the corner and she plays a note on the piano.  When I sing back the note she played, she laughs like crazy.  She even hands me music to sing sometimes.  When I sing what's written, she yells "no, no, no!"  One time she even said, "I'm so done", and walked away.  I guess I just wasn't cutting it.  She is a stricter voice teacher than I am.  I'm still just helping with Cache Theatre Company.  I like doing it, but I was thinking the other day how it's kind of taking over my whole life.  I like theatre, but maybe not quite this much.  I think I need to spread some responsibility around and that should help.  We just produced the musical Hairspray at the Eccles Theatre.  It turned out great and we had a lot of people there.  I got cast as a hot-box dancer in guys and dolls this fall with Music Theatre West.  It's funny, but I really have always wanted to be one.  That will be fun! I haven't been able to sing jazz in a long time which makes me sad.  I think I like doing that than any other kind of performing.  Fortunately, I will be singing at the Franklin County Fair with a Jazz guitarist.  It's not a huge gig, but it will be fun.  My dream is to someday open a jazz restaurant in downtown Logan!  Since there is all those bird names down there "Bluebird, White Owl, etc.), I would call it "The Black Crow Jazz restaurant". Just a dream o' mine .

Here's some pictures from our past year!
