Goodbye Grandpa Glen

Grandpa Larsen passed away this morning around 4:15am due to complications after surgery.  It is a sad day for the family.   We are happy knowing he is with Grandma Larsen again.  She has been gone for 3 years now and he was lonely.  He let us know many times that he was ready to go.  I can't help but imagine the happy reunion that is taking place with Grandma, Jane (my aunt), his siblings, and parents.  Grandpa was such an example to all of us of being stalwart in the gospel and working hard for the things you love.  He was proud to be a farmer and worked hard every day right up to the end.  I think he would have wanted it that way.   I miss him and Grandma so much.  They were such loving and kind people.  They loved their family more than anything in the world and the gospel too.  They taught us to serve and love others and to be happy where we were in life.  I never heard them complain about ever wanting more.  Some people might look down on farmers for not doing something more "prestigious".  To them I say that of all the "important" people I've ever met, none are as classy, intelligent, and kind as my Dad and Grandpa.   Most of those people wouldn't last a day doing what a farmer does.  The Herald Journal did an article and video of my Grandpa that is especially meaningful to me today.  Here's the link:

So sorry for you loss friend. If you could archive that g-pa video it would be an awesome thing to remember him by. I have one with mine that talks about his nut business and I think I'll look it up right now just to hear his voice. :)
